The Queensland Ambulance Service has been recognised for its support of Defence Reservists after being awarded the Public Sector award at the recent Annual South Queensland Employer Support Awards event in Brisbane.

The event, hosted by the South Queensland Defence Reserves Support Council, recognised employers who have been supportive of their Australian Defence Force Reservist employees.
Deputy Commissioner Dee Taylor-Dutton, who accepted the award said that the Queensland Ambulance Service recognises the benefits of having a multi-skilled, diverse workforce that can bring a variety of experience to their career.
“We support staff who want to be involved in other public and community services, such as the Defence Reserves, through our leave policies and engagement activities,” the Deputy Commissioner said.
“Being recognised with this award validates our commitment to provide staff with personal and professional development opportunities outside of the Queensland Ambulance Service and encourages others within our organisation to seek similar pathways.”
