Reserve Updates : Oct 2017
Updates to the Reserve Assistance Program and the Health Support Allowance
Changes to the Reserve Assistance Program
The Reserve Assistance Program (RAP) is now delivered by a new service provider, Converge International. From 18 October 2017, eligible Reservists and their immediate family members can access the RAP on the new phone number 1300 687 327.
The RAP is a confidential, cost free, professional counselling service with highly trained psychologists or social workers. The RAP also provides a Manager’s hotline for Commanding Officers, Supervisors or Managers of Reserve personnel designed to provide guidance and strategies on how to address issues Reservists may face.
The RAP ensures that all Reservists, who are rendering service, and their immediate family members have access to mental health and wellbeing support, to address both personal and service related challenges.
Changes to the Health Support Allowance
Health Support Allowance (HSA) supports eligible Reservists manage and maintain their health and fitness. While the allowance amount remains the same, recent changes to the allowance includes the introduction of two new health declaration forms and application cut-off dates for retrospective payments.
The new forms can be accessed via the Personal Admin Menu on ForceNet.
